The first stage of the housing and communal services reform begins on June 10

Starting from tomorrow, the owners of housing and non-residential premises will be able to independently, without the interference of authority, choose the form of house management – condominiums, professional management, and also to choose their managers.

“At the same time, the price of management will not be fixed, but agreed upon between the owners of houses and the managers,” commented MP Aliona Babak of the Samopomich parliamentary faction.

She draws attention to the fact that the entry into force of certain regulations on the provision of water, electricity, gas, heat, and waste management is delayed.

However, the provisions on the freedom of choice of managers have come into force today, and starting from Sunday the owners of houses that are not satisfied with today’s managers will be able to replace them and agree on the prices of the services that are provided.
