This was reported by a deputy of the “Samopomich” Union faction, Aliona Babak.
“The fact is that tomorrow a new law on the gas market comes into force. And by the by-laws to this document the National Commission for State Regulation in Energy and Utilities obliges the consumers to conclude contracts for the supply of gas with the gas supplying enterprises and for its transportation with the operator of the gas distribution networks,” she said.
However, in the list of housing and communal services, as defined by the laws and decrees of the Cabinet of Ministers, there is no such a service as gas transportation.
“Consequently, no subsidies can be granted for this. That is, in addition to the fact that every consumer will have to conclude not one, but two new contracts, which already presents inconveniences with documentation, their financial position may be adversely affected as well,” explains the MP.
In this regard, “Samopomich” urges the Government to pay attention to this issue and eliminate such inconsistency on the level of the by-laws.
