Tomorrow at 12:00 in the Verkhovna Rada (5 Hrushevskoho St.), in conjunction with the Director General of Human Rights and Rule of Law of the Council of Europe Christos Giakoumopoulos, we will hold a briefing on the possible sanctions against Ukraine by the Council of Europe in connection with the systematic failure to comply with the decisions of national courts and the European Court of Human Rights.
At the end of the press briefing, at 13:00, there will be a roundtable discussion on the topic “Enforcement of the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights in the cases “Yuriy Ivanov v. Ukraine” and “Burmych and Others v. Ukraine”: Requirements for General Measures”.

The people’s deputies of Ukraine, representatives of the Administration of the President of Ukraine, the Supreme Court, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, ministries, international organizations, including the Council of Europe, scientific and expert institutions, and public organizations will take part in the discussion.
The roundtable discussion is organized by the subcommittee on the implementation of the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Legal Policy and Justice in conjunction with the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine and the Council of Europe project “Support for Ukraine’s implementation of the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights”.
