The country needs a martial law, and the “Samopomich” Union faction intends to support it. This was announced by deputy of the faction Semen Semenchenko on the sidelines of the parliament.
The “Samopomich” faction has thoroughly worked on this document. In the process of improving it five of my amendments were taken into account and several amendments of the other deputies of our faction as well,” stated the deputy.
Semenchenko noted that the main task in the preparation of the law for the second reading was to ensure maximum protection of human rights, which, in the event of martial law, are always limited.
“With the introduction of martial law it is important to ensure that not only the armed forces and military industry are mobilized, but also that the rights of citizens are not violated. Therefore, it was necessary to clearly define such procedures as temporary seizure of property in favor of the army, station in civil homes and buildings,” said the deputy.
