The Cabinet of Ministers failed to introduce successful reforms and thus should bear the political responsibility. This is how Oleh Bereziuk, Chairman of the “Samopomich Union” faction, commented on the announced today resignation by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Arseniy Yatseniuk.
“The Prime Minister’s resignation is not an emergency. Public administration should not be contingent on an individual, rather on the system and principles. I would like to hope that the resignation of the Prime Minister is a deeply conscious attitude to the situation in the country. The country cannot depend on the will of one person,” said the chairman of the faction.
“The today’s statement by the Prime Minister is a reflection of reality. The reality is that this government was to be punished for the mistakes of the past. If it is so, the next government will realize that it may face the same fate and will work better,” said Oleh Bereziuk.
The MP has also mentioned that the position of Prime Minister still remains dependent upon a certain number of persons.
“Today the prime minister is not the prime minister of the government; the one created by the Parliament, the one representing the will of the people. The reality is that this is the prime minister of the oligarchic circle, the executor of their will,” stressed the MP.
