“Samopomich” once again urged the Government to stop sabotaging the engagement of foreigners to the management of the customs.
This was stated by Chairman of the “Samopomich” faction Oleh Bereziuk during a conciliation board speaking of the prerequisites of the coalition preservation.
“We will not leave the coalition if the issue of transfer of control over the Ukrainian customs to British or Swiss companies is resolved. After all, we are looking for money to fill the budget, to pay people their pensions, while at the customs there are millions flowing past the state budget,” he said.
The Cabinet has been ignoring all the proposals, for 3 months it has not replied to a single proposal from foreign companies.
“Why is this happening? Why are the Cabinet of Ministers and the State Fiscal Service blocking and sabotaging the process? This is a fundamental question to which our faction wants to hear an answer,” said the MP.
Last week, deputies of the “Samopomich” faction discussed the issue of engaging foreign companies to overcome corruption at the Ukrainian customs with IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde and US Assistant Secretary for International Finance Ramin Toloui.
