The adopted last week law “On peculiarities of property right in the apartment house” (№ №1565) secured the rights to the land and adjacent territories to the owners of apartments in high-rise buildings.
This was reported by deputy of the “Samopomich” Union faction Aliona Babak.
“From now on both the land on which the house is located and the adjacent territories are in common property of the owners of apartments in high-rise buildings. And this land will remain in their possession, even in case of destruction of the building,” she said.
The MP stresses that such a step is, in fact, the restoration of the foundations of the property management, because the property is always secondary to the land on which it is located.
“Prior to the adoption of the law, in our country the owners of apartments owned the walls and ceilings, but not the land. This has now been fixed and, consequently, the property rights of citizens are more protected,” said Babak.
