The “Samopomich” Union faction remaining in the coalition expresses distrust in the current government and calls for an early formation of a new government headed by a new prime minister.
“It is necessary first of all to stabilize the country, to restore confidence in the government and to prevent early elections in the near future, which could destabilize the country,” said chairman of the faction Oleh Bereziuk.
In the evening of 27 January, “Samopomich” MPs held a meeting with Minister of agro-industrial sector Oleksiy Pavlenko, whom the party had delegated to the coalition government. The deputies thanked the minister for his efforts aimed at deregulation and development of the agricultural sector. The “Samopomich” Union faction supported the decision of the party’s Political Council to revoke their representative from the government, given the situation.
Along with formation of a new effective government, the “Samopomich” faction considers it necessary to sign a new agreement between the members of the current coalition.
