The absolute distrust in the authorities is due to people’s fear of the cold winter. This was stated by Chairman of the “Samopomich” faction Oleh Bereziuk during a conciliation board.
He notes that in the cities and villages people do not know how they can afford paying for utilities when the heating season begins.
“People don’t trust and are aggressive against politics and politicians. And the reason for this, above all, is fear. People are afraid, and they ask how to survive the winter? The Prime Minister says to insulate their homes. How to do that and how to afford that – he says nothing about that. That means there are interesting proposals, but there are no qualitative mechanisms to help people,” he stated.
The MP stresses that the fears of people are due to the out-and-out lies in the higher echelons of power.
“Since we do not know how the tariffs are calculated. The gas balance is reducing while the tariffs are not. And the Government has not yet submitted a reasoned answer as to why the recalculation is not being carried out,” he stressed.
Last week, a “Samopomich” MP, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Housing, Aliona Babak declared that the gas tariffs should be revised, because the volume of the actually consumed gas was less than it had been factored into the plan in the calculation.
