On Tuesday, the Coalition Council will consider the possibility of holding an extraordinary session of the Verkhovna Rada this week. This was reported by Chairman of the “Samopomich” Union faction Oleh Bereziuk.
“The possibly of making that on Thursday is being considered. Tomorrow at two o’clock the meeting of the coalition leaders led by Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada is scheduled,” said Oleh Bereziuk.
According to him, the chairmen of the factions of the coalition will also discuss the changes to the Constitution, the electoral law and the law on foreign currency loans.
We shall recall that last week “Samopomich” stated that they would vote for the bill on local elections (№2831-3) only in case of introduction of some key changes that would ensure the protection of votes and the adequate reflection of the choice of the people.
The fraction insists on introduction of a system of open party lists, which is spelled out in the coalition agreement, on reducing the number of deputies of local councils by 50%, on securing the list of localities where elections were not held because of the occupation of the Russian Federation, on party blocs’ refusal to participate in the elections, on printing ballots on security paper custom-made for the Central Electoral Commission.
