Deputies from the Opposition Bloc and Petro Poroshenko Bloc are sabotaging consideration of the bill 2309 (regarding improvement of legislation on healthcare) which launches the reform on the system of state and community healthcare institutions management.
This was reported by a deputy of the “Samopomich” faction, the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Health, Iryna Sysoyenko.
“This is a government bill that Minister Kvitashvili and public experts have been developing for several months, and which is the first step in reforming the healthcare system – when funding of medical institutions will be carried out not on the basis of the amount of beds, but according to the principle of the provided to a patient services,” she said.
The MP said that on Wednesday at a meeting of the Committee on Health representatives of the Opposition Bloc had derailed the consideration of this important bill.
“As long as this law isn’t adopted, we can’t even talk about the insurance medicine, about a better quality of health services and higher salaries for health workers. It doesn’t change the form of ownership of medical institutions, but changes the system of financing,” explains the MP.
Sysoyenko notes that the only way to adopt this law is to introduce it in the parliamentary hall without a positive consideration of the relevant committee.
“We call on the leadership of the Coalition to do so and count on the support of the Parliament,” she said.
