US Vice President Joe Biden who is on an official visit to Ukraine met with the representatives of various parliamentary factions to discuss pressing issues of the state. This was reported by a member of the “Samopomich” Union Faction, the chairman of the parliamentary Commission on Future, Oleksiy Skrypnyk.
“The Vice President of the United States gathered a small group of those MPs from different factions who are implementing reforms. The aim of the meeting was to listen to what we require. We talked about reforms, about the need to combat corruption, the problems with the implementation of the Minsk agreements, the problems in the Donbas and Crimea. His mission was to make us understand that Ukraine has not disappeared from the radars of either Europe or America. Ukraine will continue to receive assistance,” said the parliamentarian.
“The only thing we need, according to Biden, is to fight corruption. He wondered whether he should put more pressure on our government and the President. I said – yes. Ukraine requires a lot of reforming,” summed up the deputy of the “Samopomich” faction.
