Parliament is asked to pass the laws on charitable SMS by the vacation time

Adoption of the laws on SMS-charity (№2297-1 and №2440) will facilitate the collection of funds for the ATO. This was reported by deputy of the “Samopomich” Union faction, co-author of the bill Tetiana Ostrikova.

“Today, because of the unresolvedness of the issue at the legislative level, charitable SMSs are subjected to more taxes, and this greatly hinders the launch of SMS-volunteer projects,” says the MP.

She notes that the bills №2297-1 and №2440 (on the creation of favorable conditions for the implementation of the charity messaging) were registered in the parliament in the early spring. Adoption of these bills will provide for the transfer of the entire amount of money donated by a subscriber to a charitable project.

“We understand that there is little time by the end of the session, and we offer, if necessary, to prolong the work of the Parliament for a couple of weeks. But such bills that allow volunteer organizations at this difficult time to accumulate resources and make their use more transparent have to be considered as a priority,” said Tetiana Ostrikova.
