In the free from the occupants areas of Donbas local elections be held – Soboliev

“Samopomich” believe that non-holding elections in the free from the occupants areas of Donbas is a step towards Putin. This was reported by Deputy Chairman of the faction, Chairman of the Committee on the Preventing Corruption Yehor Soboliev.

“The idea of non-holding elections in the free from the occupants areas of Donbas is a step towards Putin. The war with him is, among other things, for the right of people to delegate power and deprive of power,” he said.

Soboliev notes that in all the local councils of Donbas the Party of Regions still rules.

“There are propositions to legalize them for at least another two years. And deprive the patriots of a chance to elect at least a part of the deputies worthy of the blood shed for this land,” said the MP.

As is known, yesterday the Committee on State Building, Regional Policy and Local Self-Government decided to recommend not holding the elections in all the territories of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions.
