We ask all citizens to help us bring to local authorities really decent people, not crooks in disguise.
This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the “Samopomich” faction, Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Committee Yehor Soboliev.
“Our colleagues in the parliament hesitate to introduce the nationwide system of open lists elections, thus “Samopomich” itself continues its tradition to present its lists before they are approved,” he said.
Soboliev stresses that it’s not for the first time that “Samopomich” does so: “During the last elections to the Kyiv City Council and then to the Parliament, “Samopomich” published the names of those whom it could support in the elections. Now again the lists of possible candidates are available on the party website“.
He noted that the lists are made public for people to study them and to tell whether there was a personnel error made in the selection of the candidates, or vice versa, to tell who may indeed be a worthy representative of the local authorities.
“In Ukraine there has established an unbelievable school of crooks and swindlers who skillfully disguise themselves from election to election. We have put a barrier in the way of those people who were the members of other parties and were involved in various corruption projects. However, nowadays witnessing the growth in popularity of “Samopomich” a lot of politicians at the regional level are trying to send to us seemingly new people who are actually related to them and have common business interests,” stated the deputy.
