“Samopomich” deputies petitioned the court to complain about the inaction of the State Fiscal Service’s investigators

Deputies of the “Samopomich” Union faction, Viktoriia Voitsitska and Andriy Zhurzhiy, went to court because of the inactivity of the State Fiscal Service’s investigators who refuse to respond to the criminal report against the officials of “Ukrnafta” (Part 3 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) each time pleading new reasons for the delay of consideration.

The report on a criminal offense committed by “Ukrnafta” officials was sent to the State Fiscal Service on November 25; however, the deputies are still waiting for a response.

“So far we have not received any notifications from the State Fiscal Service. When asking what the status of the application is, we hear a number of explanations: “the  electronic system for registration of applications is not functioning”; “the head of the department responsible for reviewing the applications is absent”; “we have 10 days to respond to your appeal,” said MP, Secretary of the Committee on Fuel and Energy Cmplex Viktoriia Voitsitska.

“The procedure for reviewing applications on crimes is envisaged by the Criminal Procedural Code, which clearly states that there are 24 hours for revision as from receipt. The report has been under consideration for 192 hours already (counting working days only), there is no person to consider the application, the electronic system is not functioning. What’s next? For our part, we have responded to such inaction with the complaint in court,” summed up the MP.

At present the complaint of the MPs is being considered by the Shevchenko district court.
