The leader of the “Samopomich” Union” thanked all Ukrainians who took part in the elections of local self-government.
“The elections are the trust, a chance to work. I hope that the vote counting will be carried out in accordance with the law, Lviv will set an example of honest, tolerant work, and the Revolution of Dignity will not be besmirched by an improper vote counting in Lviv and other cities of our country. We want every Ukrainian to have the right to express their position choosing local authorities,” said Andriy Sadovyi.
The leader of the “Samopomich” Union” has noted that he expects the official election results and will accept them with dignity:” In fact, in all the major cities “Samopomich” will have its factions in the city councils. It’s a great trust of Ukrainians and a great challenge for the party.
This is a difficult task to work in the interests of citizens in many cities. We will work together, share experience, because these are the first local elections in which “Samopomich” runs. Previously we had no such experience. And our colleagues who will become deputies should be an example of proper work in their cities, an example of openness and transparency. I will do everything possible and impossible for that.”
The leader of the “Samopomich” Union” attributed the low turnout of voters in Ukraine to the fact of distrust in the authorities. “Today the distrust in the authorities is higher than a few years ago. And it’s a great problem, since well-done promos and good speeches do not reflect the real state of affairs. Only hard work for the benefit of people can give a high quality result. When Ukrainians see real changes, a real fight against corruption, then more Ukrainians will go to the polls,” said Andriy Sadovyi.
