During his visit to Kropyvnytskyi, the head of the Samopomich Union faction in the Verkhovna Rada Oleh Bereziuk was prevented from meeting with the residents of the city, namely with the staff of the city hospital. They planned to talk about medical reform – one of the most difficult reforms in Ukraine. This is the first time in almost 4.5 years of Bereziuk’s parliamentary activity that something like this happened.
Oleh Bereziuk is convinced that the reason behind the disruption of the meeting is the pressure of the authorities. People’s deputy comments on the situation, “There is tyranny in Kropyvnytskyi. People are denied access to information. I was denied access to information from people who were supposed to share how the reform was progressing and what exactly they did not like about it. I could report this to the Minister, the Prime Minister. These are signs of tyranny and despotism of oligarchic power in Kropyvnytskyi.”
When answering the question of who forbade the meeting, the head doctor replied that some “unknown persons” had come and forbidden. “Who is in charge of the state, after all?” asks the MP.
He concludes, “This is why Sadovyi decided to run in the elections – for the sake of creating, together with people, the government that would respect people.”
