Three lies of Hroisman

Today, during an hour of questions to the government, when answering the question of MP Roman Semenukha about the government’s urgent presentation of changes to this year’s budget in the amount more than 10 billion hryvnias, Volodymyr Hroisman was insincere at least three times.

1. CONCERNING THE INCREASE IN THE PENSION FUND DEFICIT:

“…10 billion, which we have redistributed, this is exactly a reduction in the PF deficit,” said the Prime Minister.

This is not true.

Proof: the three-year budget resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, where it is planned to provide financing for the Pension Fund from the budget in the amount of 141 billion hryvnias by 2020 (167 billion are planned in the budget for the next year).

2. CONCERNING THE MANUAL MODE IN WHICH THE PENSION OF THE MILITARY ARE CALCULTED:

“…Do not forget that we had asked the parliament to look at the pension reform for the military – and the parliament has not done this yet – so we raised pensions for the military by a government decision…,” said the Prime Minister.

This is a manipulation.

On February 21, through a resolution No. decree 103, being under pressure of people, the government belatedly recalculated servicemen’s pensions.

Deputies of the Samopomich Union have repeatedly demanded to submit to the parliament the relevant government bill. But nothing has changed. So what kind of requests is Volodymyr Hroisman talk about?

3. CONCERNING REVENUES FROM PRIVATIZATION OF STATE PROPERTY:

“…456 million, instead of 100 million, from small-scale privatization this year…,” noted Hroisman noted.

Another manipulation.

Proof: the current report of the State Treasury on the implementation of the state budget for 10 months of this year, which indicated the income from privatization in the amount of 135,000,000 hryvnias.

However, these are nuances. After all, the amount of funds from privatization is scanty as compared to the planned 21.3 billion. Unrealistic privatization plans of the past few years are nothing more than fiction, because the income remains on paper only.

And the Prime Minister’s manipulations are nothing more than a dubious way to hide the unprofessionalism of the Ministry of Social Politics, the Ministry of Finance and its own inability to manage the processes in the state.
