“Today’s government is deaf, blind and absolutely cynical” – Viktoriia Voitsitska

The greatest value – life and health of a person – is nothing for the current authorities in Ukraine. This is a conviction of Viktoriia Voitsitska, people’s deputy representing Samopomich Union.

According to her, the confirmation of this can be traced in two examples:

“Firstly, at the building of the Presidential Administration, the hunger strike of Oleh Bereziuk, Oksana Syroyid, and Taras Pastukh is ongoing. If you think that the lives and health of my colleagues are valuable to the authorities, then you are mistaken. If you think that someone from the Administration, from the government approached them and asked not why they were there, but how they felt, whether they needed any help – this has never happened,” said Viktoriia Voitsitska.

However, this is still not the limit of cynicism of the authorities: “These days the relevant committee is sabotaging the issue of helping the soldiers who leave the war crippled and simply do not have the opportunity even to live another year or two more. It’s about the soldiers who are “wiped out”. They are sent to their parents, so that their parents are trying to prolong their children’s lives for a day or two having no money whatsoever.

Therefore, our colleague drafted a bill that could ensure that these people are respected as much as those who died in the war are. The Committee keeps on coming up with the reasons why they do not support this draft law and keep sending the document to the Cabinet of Ministers, the expert council, anywhere.”

These examples demonstrate in all its glory the cynical nature of the current authorities.

“I really hope that in the session hall there will be people for whom human life and human health are above all. I believe that there are people like this. Let’s support our colleagues and our soldiers,” concludes Viktoriia Voitsitska.
