In early March, government representatives announced the signing of a memorandum on the receipt by Ukraine of the next tranche from the International Monetary Fund in the amount of 1 billion dollars. However, the Cabinet has not yet published the text of the memorandum, which is absolutely unacceptable in the parliamentary-presidential country.
“When you take out a loan from a bank, do you scrutinize the agreement terms? Even if a loan agreement is a public offer, you still scrutinize the agreement terms, don’t you? Then why does the government think that taxpayers should not know on what terms the funds are accepted? After all, these will be them who will have to pay for this service in the end, not the Prime Minister. We demand that the government should immediately promulgate the text of the memorandum on the receipt of the last tranche from the International Monetary Fund,” states Roman Semenukha, a member of the Samopomich Union faction.
On the basis of information from open sources the people’s deputy has analyzed some of the articles of the memorandum with the IMF. More details in the blog of Roman Semenukha.
