Samopomich selected two-thirds of people to its parliamentary list

Today, during the “Open Lists – Final” forum, by means of a secret voting, the rating of candidates for people’s deputies from Samopomich among the leaders of the regions was formed. Together with the rating of the current deputies, it will become the basis for party’s final electoral list.

“There are some long-established traditions in Ukraine – parliament seats can be sold and many things can be rigged. In 2014, we showed a unique example, when the Samopomich list was put up for public discussion. Not everyone who wanted to join us got onto the list and became members of the Verkhovna Rada. After all, we are very responsive to the opinions of people.

Today we are going even further. While the parliament is debating about the new Electoral Code, Samopomich is one step ahead. The party has decided that it will independently introduce open lists in the selection of our candidates for parliament,” said the leader of the party, Andriy Sadovyi, during the opening of the forum.

So, the winners of the voting as per macro-regions who will be among the top five of the working list of party leaders in the regions:

– Vitaliy Fydryn, Ternopil region, West

– Viacheslav Kushchynskyi, Poltava region, East

– Andriy Dmitriev, Kherson region, South

– Ruslan Khomych, Volyn region

– Olha Babiy, Kyiv region

According to the results of the voting in Samopomich regional branches and the decision of the political council, the Samopomich Union Party has formed its first working list for parliamentary elections. It includes thirteen current MPs representing the Samopomich faction, who have expressed a desire to run in the parliamentary elections with the party:

Oleh Bereziuk

Oksana Syroyid

Roman Semenukha

Tetiana Ostrikova

Liubomyr Zubach

Taras Pastukh

Ruslan Sydorovych

Iryna Sysoyenko

We shall recall that the general electoral list of the Samopomich Union will be formed on the basis of three working lists. The first one is a list of current MPs, the second one is the list of party leaders in the regions, the third one is the list of leaders of public opinion and the expert community.

A unified electoral list of the party will be formed by alternately including one person from each working list. Therefore, every three consecutive numbers of party’s final electoral list will include a representative of each working list, taking into account the principle of gender equality.

According to the leader of Samopomich, Andriy Sadovyi, the party will present the general electoral list for public discussion and hand it over to anti-corruption public organizations for verification. 80% of the list will consist of fresh for the Ukrainian parliament faces.
