Andriy Sadovyi, Mayor of Lviv, presidential candidate, spoke about the country, the Orthodox Church and its international recognition at the meeting with Metropolitan Epiphanius.
“The head of the church has very big challenges facing him today. And I believe that all Christians in Ukraine will unite during our life. Because unity at the Christian level is the foundation that will give unity to all people of goodwill,” said Andriy Sadovyi after the meeting in the St. Michael’s Cathedral.
The politician says he has asked the Metropolitan, who has the opportunity to communicate with a large number of officials, to convey to them the truth that stealing is a sin.
“Today we are the poorest and most corrupt country in Europe. But if the officials, who claim that they are believers, lived by the Commandments and did not steal, then I think that we would quickly correct the situation,” said Sadovyi.
