Samopomich presented its first five candidates of the electoral list to the Verkhovna Rada on the air of “Freedom of Speech” TV program on ICTV channel. About 90% of candidates are new to parliament, but well-known in their cities.
“We bring together people from different cities, from different environments. It has always been the task of Samopomich – to bring new people into politics and into the parliament,” explained the leader of the Samopomich list, Andriy Sadovyi.
Among such newcomers there are Olha Kvasnytska from Odesa and Tetiana Bidniak from Kharkiv – number 2 and 4 on the party’s electoral list. Kvasnytska is well-known in Odesa due to her systemic opposition to the mayor Trukhanov, who, in particular, covers illegal construction. Bidniak is a volunteer well-known in Kharkiv, she heads several organizations that have provided for Ukrainian soldiers from the first days of the war.
“It is a great honour for me that they, and not Dobkin or Kivalov, represent Kharkiv and Odesa in our team. These women should be there in the parliament and should represent Ukrainian Odesa and Kharkiv,” noted Sadovyi.
We must choose such a parliament that will have the trust of people. Because only such a parliament will be able to form a quality government, and a quality government will be able to build quality relations with the Western world.
