The parliament has finally adopted amendments to the law on the Anti-Corruption Court. We shall recall that once the law was signed, somehow a rule appeared in it stating that the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court will not consider the appeals in the cases whose judgments were passed by other courts before the work of the Anti-Corruption Court.
“There was an incredible fight for the final wording of the key issue – whether the Appeals Chamber of the Anti-Corruption Court will consider the cases which were previously considered by other courts.” There were manipulations and attempts to have such a version of the law that could block the work of the court altogether.
But due to the persistent position of Samopomich deputies, among others, we managed to defend the version that will not allow any manipulations – as soon as the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court launches its work, all cases will be directed to it,” said MP Ruslan Sydorovych from the Samopomich parliamentary faction.
