This was stated by MP of the Samopomich Union faction, Roman Semenukha, during his speech at the forty-eighth Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, held in Belgrade.
One of the main topics of the Assembly is attraction of international investment in the region. In his speech, Roman Semenukha expressed the consolidated position of the whole of the Ukrainian delegation to PABSEC:
“Unless peace is restored in the Black Sea region, we cannot talk about sustainable economic growth either in the region as a whole, or in the member countries. Today, it is the situation in Donbas and Crimea that determines whether there will be peace in Europe. PABSEC member countries, as well as any country in the world, cannot feel safe, because “Crimea” or “Donbas” may appear on the territory of any state.”
The MP has stressed that Russia’s return into the international legal terrain is not possible without the return of the occupied territories under the control of Ukraine.
“We can make it possible only by joint efforts. The war between Ukraine and the Russian Federation is not the only problem of Ukraine, this is the confrontation of the civilizational values with tyranny. We demand that the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation give a political assessment of the actions of the Russian Federation. Russia should be recognized as an aggressor and brought to justice,” said Roman Semenukha.
