“We have received information on reopening of a criminal case against the leadership of Lviv motor carrier for the purchase of buses for municipal routes,” Andriy Sadovyi, leader of the “Samopomich Union”, posted on his Facebook page.
Lviv mayor notes that in 2012 the city began to use first municipal buses and used vehicles were bought in Germany.
“The prosecutor’s office had checked everybody, including German suppliers, and had not found any clues. Even in the time of Yanukovych local investigators mentioned it behind the scenes that they did not know how to deal the final blow of the city authorities in this case, and that they were only doing it because of an order from above,” says Andriy Sadovyi.
The party leader recalls that there had been a lot of such cases and all of them couldn’t hold water due to lack of evidence and arguments. “Most of them were ceased once Yanukovych disappeared and, accordingly, the pressure from Kyiv disappeared. And now, the new management of the Prosecutor General’s Office and the Interior Ministry have decided to dig on the files of their predecessors.
