Bills 1332, 1164 on increasing the salaries of health workers have been included into the agenda; now we have to fight for these bills to be put to vote, MP Iryna Sysoyenko reported on her Facebook page.
For these bills to be included into the agenda Sysoyenko has repeatedly appealed to the government and the parliament chairman; because if we want to allocate additional funds into the budgeted for 2017, these bills have to be voted in September already.
The draft law 1332 “On amendments to the Law of Ukraine “Fundamentals of the Ukrainian legislation on health care” will let health care workers have:
– Allowances for the service record, depending on the length of service in state and municipal health care institutions;
– Annual remuneration for conscientious work and exemplary performance of duties;
– Financial assistance for health improvement when taking an annual holiday;
– Supplements to the basic salary for working in state and municipal health care institutions located in rural areas and small towns.
Amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On emergency medical assistance” (bill 1164) will allow to pay higher salaries, allowances for the special nature of work, for seniority, other bonuses, additional payments, and rewards for ambulance drivers.
“Non-medical employees of emergency medical teams work in the same difficult conditions as health care workers do, they experience the same physical and psychological stress, their work is related to the same health risks – criminogenic factors among other things. Therefore, it is very important to ensure fair wages for them at the legislative level,” said Iryna Sysoyenko.
