Despite the problems in the financial and banking sector, the Parliament once again failed to consider draft laws on banking activity.
Seems like they are willing to consider any populist bills, just not to tackle the problems of the banking sector. One can get an impression that the members of the Parliament have already forgotten about the credit protests, currency borrowers, and defrauded depositors of the “Mykhailivskyi” bank.
Today, on November 1, 2016, once again into the agenda of the plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine were included the bills that protect consumers, establish responsibility for violation of consumer rights, regulate the issues of consumer lending, establish mechanisms of extrajudicial settlement of mortgage disputes, protect the rights of warrantors, regulate the issues of unauthorized construction with the mortgage taken out.
These bills were registered and drafted in 2015, and since then their consideration has been postponed from week to week.
It seems that parliamentarians, who hoard cash, are not interested in the development of the banking sector.
