had been receiving inflated bills for heating and hot water. Commenting on this situation, Samopomich MP, Oleh Bereziuk, notes that the problem with the formation of tariffs in Ukraine needs to be addressed comprehensively.
“It’s high time the head of the National Commission for State Regulation in Energy and Utilities, Mr. Vovk, bore criminal responsibility. He is the man who decides on the increase in tariffs. It is sometimes said that the tariffs are calculated by public utilities of cities. Formally, this is so, but it is the National Commission that provides the output. Today, therefore, it is necessary to bring to justice the National Commission for State Regulation in Energy and Utilities,” emphasizes Oleh Bereziuk.
However, it is not easy to fight with the Commission. The MP recalls that in late September, the Parliament failed to adopt a rigid and necessary for the country law. Then, the Verkhovna Rada could support the legislation that would update the composition of the scandalous Commission that is responsible for the increased tariffs. Unfortunately, MPs let the current composition under the management of Dmytro Vovk stay for another year and a half.
Oleh Bereziuk adds, the current Commission doesn’t care that tariffs are high, because in the past decades the impunity with which Ukrainian budget is used has become a tradition.
“Mr. Vovk is an embodiment of a psychopathic behavior of pumping out money from the Ukrainian budget, and this has been continuing with impunity for the past 15 years,” sums up the MP.
