While considering Volodymyr Hroisman’s resignation statement in the parliament, Oleh Bereziuk, Chairman of the Samopomich Union faction in the parliament, said: “Do not make loud statements, just come with a report and show people what we have in the country today. This would be fair, understandable and democratic in a parliamentary-presidential republic.”
The parliamentarian continues: “It looks like the government and its head are offended. But you should not be offended by people, they made their choice. People assessed their financial shape after paying for all utilities, going to the supermarket, tanking up.”
Many promises of Hroisman’s Cabinet remained just promises. For example, the talks about increasing budget revenues from customs. “The hole remained and it is filling the pockets of those who are robbing the Ukrainian state,” says Oleh Bereziuk.
At the same time, the people’s deputy dispels the myths about possible government resignations and notes: “Regardless of the results of the voting, the government will continue fulfilling its duties and being responsible for the executive power in the country until the next government comes in office”.
Consequently, members of the Cabinet of Ministers and its head should honestly report on the results of work, victories and defeats for the first time over the years in office, instead of engaging in demagogy.
“Unfortunately, we have never heard the report of the Ukrainian government in this hall. And this is an important thing for evaluation, for knowing whether or not the government deserves our vote of confidence,” concludes Oleh Bereziuk.
