The state should manifest its love for the citizens in only one way – with the help of money. The current government has enough money for this; the most important thing is to have a desire. This was stated by the head of the Samopomich faction in the Verkhovna Rada Oleh Bereziuk in TV program “The Right to Power” when commenting on the story of a three-year-old girl who needs a bone marrow transplant.
“Very often we see that when laws are adopted politicians start shouting about some victories,” notes the people’s deputy. “A law is not yet a victory, it’s just one step. Unless a law is financed, there will be no surgery rooms in which it will be possible to transplant bone marrow. Therefore, today the government simply needs to finance the medical industry.”
Oleh Bereziuk says that this problem is not only about oncology. “We do not know how many of those who could be saved die from heart attacks in the 21st century only because ambulances do not arrive on time.”
“The state has a lot of money, and it is the government that disposes of this money today,” concludes Oleh Bereziuk. “Nothing prevents the government from taking money from the customs or transferring it from non-operating transfer pricing to the medical industry. The government simply has no desire to do so.”
