Chairman of the faction Samopomich faction Oleh Bereziuk addressed the NACP with a demand to explain the reasons why the verification of the electronic declaration of MP Olena Sotnyk lasts longer than required by the law.
It should be noted that the National Agency for Corruption Prevention launched a full verification of Olena Sotnyk’s declaration on June 19, 2017. During the verification the MP twice provided explanations to questions of the NACP employees and submitted all supporting documents that were requested.
And the second time the explanations were submitted to a newly appointed inspector who reported the impossibility of sending an official written request referring to the fact that the deadline for the inspection had expired.
Olena Sotnyk, willing to cooperate with NACP employees and facilitate the verification, voluntarily provided explanations to all the questions in writing and submitted all the necessary supporting documents.
The last explanations were provided on September 8, 2017, and since then there has been no conclusion on the verification of the declaration and no decision has been made to finish the verification.
“So, the verification of Olena Sotnyk’s declaration has been going on for more than four months, although the maximum possible period is 90 days. Therefore, I appeal to NACP and demand to explain why the verification is not yet completed and to report when it will be completed,” notes Oleh Bereziuk.
