The local initiative groups of “Samopomich” will focus their activities on three areas – transparency of power, energy efficiency and help to the ATO participants. This was reported by Chairman of the “Samopomich” Union faction Oleh Bereziuk, being in Zhytomyr.
“We set the task for our offices to, first of all, make the authorities be open with people; secondly, to join the efforts of the authorities, condominiums, and non-governmental organizations to implement energy efficiency projects, because we cannot be dependent on gas,” he said.
In addition, the efforts should be aimed at help for the ATO participants and their families.
“Help for the wounded soldiers and the families of fallen soldiers is not only a manifestation of gratitude for their feat, but also an investment in the future. Children whose parents gave their lives and health protecting the country, should not feel abandoned,” said Oleh Bereziuk.
To do this, we need to implement joint cities and state programs on construction of houses and rehabilitation centers, programs of psychological and physical adaptation, as well as educational and social programs to support families of the ATO participants.
“In addition, the funds from the local budgets should be allocated for the targeted financial assistance to the families of the seriously wounded and dead soldiers; and to low-income families in order to offset the blow of skyrocketing prices and tariffs,” said the deputy.
