The contest commission did not allow Dmytro Vovk to participate in the contest for the position of chairman of the National Commission for State Regulation in Energy and Utilities in connection with his non-compliance with the requirement to have at least 5 years of experience in the energy sector.
Lev Pidlisetskyi, a member of the Samopomich parliamentary faction, comments on the decision of the commission:
“The era of Vovk is coming to an end. The contest commission rejected his candidacy. He has two days to appeal, but that would be too much. Everything is too clear. There is a direct provision of the law. He has no relevant experience!”
The MP also believes that without the activity of the public, the outcome could have been different. “Under the control of the civil society, the law on the independent regulator is being observed, at least in terms of admission to the competition. Thanks to all and let us go on working!”
We shall recall that NABU is conducting a number of investigations of the activities of the Energy Regulator under the management of Dmytro Vovk, in particular, the application of the scandalous formula of Rotterdam Plus.
