There is some very important news for small and medium businesses – the shameful requirements for installing transmitters on small gas metres will be cancelled due to the perseverance of consumers and an active public position – of Samopomich representatives among others.
Today the National Commission for State Regulation in Energy and Utilities adopted a draft decision on the abolition of the mandatory requirement to equip gas metres with devices of remote accounting for household consumers with an annual consumption of less than 10 thousand cubic metres.
This means that in about a month such a decision will be officially adopted. Tens of thousands of small entrepreneurs that have been terrorized by regional gas companies, which demanded the replacement of metres and additional significant costs, will be able to go on consuming gas having their usual metring devices. There will be no additional costs. There will be no need to install new counters.
In this regard, I want to say two things.
First of all, I am grateful to the NCSREU for the fact that the Commission is learning to listen to the consumers and common sense. I still have a lot of questions to the Regulator, but today’s decision gives hope that at least some issues can be solved for the benefit of Ukraine and Ukrainian consumers.
And secondly. I am grateful to hundreds of entrepreneurs who did not give up and did not succumb to the blackmail of gas companies. Instead, they demanded justice and the abolition of the absurd in its essence decision on the remote accounting of small volumes of gas. I heard this demand at meetings in all regions of the country.
It is due to your complaints to the Regulator, to your pressure through all possible channels that the unfair decision will be cancelled.
And this is an example for everyone else – those suffering from injustice today.
We should all unite and protect our rights.
We will be heard only when our common fair demands are voiced clearly and loudly!
