Samopomich deputy, chairman of the Committee on Informatization and Communication Oleksandr Danchenko is appealing to the government and MPs not to destroy the Ukrainian IT industry with the farce about taxation of individual entrepreneurs.
“Now the entire IT industry is going nuts and does not understand what is happening. How can a developing industry have the entire tax system changed overnight? This is nonsense. People pay taxes when they understand the transparent use of these taxes.
At one point everybody is talking about innovations, digitalization and then bang – they want to destroy it all.”
Moreover, some MPs take liberties with the representatives of the IT industry, and this is unacceptable.
Danchenko says, “I’d like to appeal to the coalition; some deputies have simply insulted the industry with obscenities. This is very bad, because these people might get offended and leave the country. We cannot let this happen. Innovations kill corruption, do not destroy innovations.”
The lawmaker has also been to the rally for the protection of independent notaries in Ukraine, where the issues of registries and digitalization have been raised yet again.
“Independent notaries mean strong business and the right to protect one’s property. Therefore, we cannot let independent notaries to be destroyed. I have been also addressed by the telecommunications industry, and it is likely that the next rally will be organized by the representatives of this industry.”
The latter, according to Oleksandr Danchenko, are concerned about the failure to fulfil the law of Ukraine on access to infrastructure.
“I would ask for an innovation “kick” to the ministries that are not fulfilling these tasks.”
